Similarly an american would probably say 'in college' while a brit would say … I was wondering whether alma mater refers to all the schools you have been in, or just to the one from which you received your ba, bsc, or a similar degree?
In english usage, should one use high-school, high school, or highschool? (assume american english; I understand that the brits call it secondary school. )
